St. Maarten nearest major airport is L’Espérance Airport (SFG / TFFG). This airport receives both international and domestic flights and is situated only 6 km from the center of Marigot, the Capital of the French side of the Island.  Another major airport is Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM / TNCM), which has international and domestic flights and is located 10 km from the capital.
