Tucked away along Key West's picturesque harbor is where you will find this grand gingerbread style home offers a renovated unique architecture boasting style and comfort. This house recently underwent a massive renovation including a restored pool and in-ground Jacuzzi . The lovely interior was modernized offering a coastal comfort throughout. upon entering the home you will be awed by the polished Brazilian tigerwood floors, rich mahogany doors and window casings. Stunning mahogany beamed ceilings and crown molding that frames the 12-foot ceilings. The original Victorian staircase offers a gone with the wind statement with its polished mahogany railing, intricately carved outer string, and hand lathed posts. A traditional Persian style runner-rug tops the steps and risers that lead straight up to the 2nd floor. The spacious open living / dining/ kitchen area occupies is tastefully and comfortably furnished with an upscale coastal style grouping of a sofa, love seat, and barrel easy chairs upholstered in soft island blue and coral colors. Sliding glass doors tin the living room lead out to the covered porch and pool deck. where an indoor/outdoor fireplace can be viewed and enjoyed from the dining room and the back deck. The gourmet kitchen is amazing and beautifully laid out with custom wooden cabinets, granite countertops, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. Bedroom One and Downstairs Bathroom - offers a spacious 1st floor bedroom furnished with a king size bed, a bureau, and classic furnishings.The bathroom enjoys a bathtub with in-tub shower with clear glass sliding doors, tiled floor, and vanity with granite counter top. Glass backsplash tiles and black lavatory fixtures add an elegant touch. Master Bedroom (bedroom two) and Bathroom - Back to the front door entrance of the house, the staircase leads straight up to the 2nd floor where you'll find three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms.The master bedroom provides a king size bed with matching headboard, bedside tables, and bureau. A large flat-screen TV is placed above the bureau for easy viewing from bed. A stylish bench upholstered in green to match the bedroom walls, is placed at the foot of the bed. This bedroom was delightfully redesigned. The soaring ceiling is finished with white pickled wood planks set up to the rafters. Double side-by-side clothes closets are set on one end of the room. Walls are painted tropical green with wood trim painted white. Sash windows on 3 sides fill the room with light, and light bamboo floors complete the tropical feeling. A special feature of the master bedroom is an adjoining private deck that overlooks the swimming pool and deck below. Directly outside the master bedroom door, is the master bath. Proximity to the bedroom makes it function as an en-suite master bathroom, even though you take a few steps into the private hall to reach it. Consistently grand as the rest of this home, the master bath is very spacious and provides two oversized wood vanities with granite countertops, across the room from each other. A special feature is a steam-room shower at the far end of the room. A large sash window looks down at the pool and deck below, and a fun unexpected feature is the automatic opening toilet seat. It gave us a real chuckle the first time we saw it function. Bedroom Three and Bedroom Four â Stepping back into the common hall at the top of the stairs, the doorways to the other two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house. The door to bedroom three is located closest to the master bedroom, while bedroom four is accessed off the main upstairs hallway at the opposite end of the house. Both bedrooms were redesigned and decorated to mirror each other, with light hardwood floors, thick crown molding, and decorator ceiling fans. Set to maximize sleeping accommodations, both bedrooms are furnished with two double beds, bedside tables, and dressers, Both bedrooms have flat screen TVâs mounted on the wall. Upstairs Bathroom Two â The entrance to the second upstairs bathroom is across the hall from bedroom four. This bathroom provides a tiled shower with bench and frameless glass door. The high-toned room is made to feel light and airy with a white vanity topped with cream-tone granite and tile. Upscale bathroom fixtures and a black vanity mirror are the final touch. Back in the main bedroom hallway at the top of the staircase, there is a walk way leading to the front upstairs of the house. A single-pane French door leads to the 2nd floor verandah that runs the entire width of the front of the house and wraps around the northeast side of the building. GROUNDS: Front and Side - The property grounds are fenced all the way around the house with classic white picket fences and mature landscaping in the back for privacy. On the front and northeast side of the house, large covered verandahs, on the 1st and 2nd floor, wrap around from the front of the home to the northeast side to create enviable views of historic Fleming and Frances streets. Access to the 2nd floor verandah is from an entrance door at in the center of the house. The 1st floor verandah has two entrances â from the downstairs front as well a door that leads to the office. Ample easy and rocking chairs are placed to maximize your comfort. Back Yard - During the renovation of the home, double decks were built on the back of the property. The 2nd floor deck is private to the master bedroom. Directly below it, the 1st floor deck leads to the kitchen and dining area which easily flow from one space to another.
