The house was originally designed in 1978. Completely re-imagined by the Montecito, this house sits on an acre and a half of mature, sustainable lush gardens. The outdoor space includes a newly refurbished pool and hot tub, fire pit, tennis court, and basketball hoop designed for evening play. The indoor space, painted in shades of white, features wood floors, Moroccan and Indian rugs, and modern art throughout. The house was designed for outdoor living and has an outstanding indoor-outdoor flow. At the far end of the east of the house is the master bedroom suite which features high ceilings, a modern ceiling-to-floor slate fireplace an ebony wood bed with Asian influences, Moroccan rugs, a 65-inch smart TV, and French doors that lead out to a garden and the hot tub/pool. A walk-in closet has plenty of hanging and storage space. The master bath features a large steam shower, custom-made walnut cabinets, black granite countertops, dual sinks, a makeup vanity, and a Moroccan chandelier. The family room features expansive Spanish-style windows, a fireplace, a mid-century style sectional, an Aemes lounge chair, and a 65-inch smart TV. The piece de resistance is the 500 sq ft white and wood kitchen/ dining room that features a wall of steel-framed windows, a 10 ft long live edge dining table with wishbone black chairs, and a Wolf six-burner stove. a Sub Zero refrigerator, and an expanse of skylights. This room also opens to the garden with an outdoor fireplace, a large round table, and a grill. Separating the east and west wings are the large curved, living room, with a high, wood beam ceiling. This room also opens to the back through French doors. It features a fireplace and two mid-century sofas. The west wing has a half bath, Jack and Jill bedrooms with an original Spanish style bathroom, a laundry room, and a second master bedroom with a private bathroom and a large desk with a network-connected laser printer/scanner. This bedroom also features French doors that open up to the garden. There is ultra-high-speed WiFi throughout the house, Sonos wireless speakers, air conditioning, cable service with premium channels, and an electric car charging station. The house is great for entertaining and can sleep, 8-10 people. It has been designed to comfortably accommodate a single couple or two families.
