I recently stayed at this magnificent private retreat and I must say, it was an absolute dream come true! From the moment we entered the private driveway with its iron gate, we knew we were in for something special. The estate is fit for royalty, with its 10,000-square-foot space overlooking the ocean in downtown Exuma, surrounded by a beautiful eight-inch high rock wall.
As soon as we walked through the door, we were struck by the stunning ocean view and the beautiful Stocking Island in its entirety. The gourmet kitchen with a private catering entrance was simply amazing, and the fully-featured fitness room was an added bonus. The seven king-size bedrooms were spacious and luxurious, with three full-size bathrooms and two half-size bathrooms for added convenience.
The location is perfect, just a two-minute drive or an eight-minute beach walk to what the locals call "The best beach in Exuma." This protected beach is truly a slice of heaven, with silky sand and shallow water. The estate provided beach chairs, coolers, water floats, and beach towels, and with the Palms providing shade, we didn't even need a beach umbrella.
The bathrooms were stocked with oversized bath towels, toilet paper, antibacterial hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, making our stay even more comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a toaster oven, two-12 cup coffee makers, coffee grinder, Keurig, French press, cappuccino maker, Irish coffee mugs, cookware, blender, 12-quart crock pot/pressure cooker, Kitchen Aid mixer, wine glasses, beer mugs, and so much more. It was stocked with garbage bags, dish soap, and starter dishwasher detergent and paper towels, making meal times a breeze.
We were able to comfortably dine with our entire group of 30, thanks to the dishes, utensils, and serving ware provided. The dining table with seating for 18 and the bar table with seating for 12 made for a great dining experience. The full-size washer and dryer with starter laundry detergent was a lifesaver, and the house cleaning every three days during our stay ensured that we always had a clean and comfortable space to come back to. Additional housekeeping was also available.
The kids loved the eight smart TVs, which meant there was never a dull moment during our stay. There were also cards and games available for kids and grown-ups alike, making it a fun-filled trip for everyone.
Overall, I would highly recommend this home away from home to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Exuma. The location, amenities, and overall experience was truly exceptional, and I cannot wait to return again soon!
