This totally remodeled vintage beach cottage is located directly on the beautiful white sand beaches on Anna Maria island. As you can see, the cottage faces west on one of the best rated beaches in the world by several travel magazines. This ground level cottage,(no long stairways!) has glorious sunset views from every room!
The cottage has just been remodeled with all pine white bead board on the walls, crown molding with indirect lighting. All the floors are redone in new ceramic tile and reclaimed wide plank pine flooring. A new 42" plasma high def tv in the living room completes the look.
The living room is set up with the couches facing the water to take advantage of the views from the all glass west wall. The rooms were tastefully designed to look like something out of the pages of Coastal Living magazine.
All the appliances and utensils in the kitchen are new.
Outside, the kids can build sandcastles on the beach under your watchful eye while you relax with a tall, cool drink on the beach side deck. Watch the dolphins play as the kids catch a wave! Step off the deck and feel the sugar sand in your toes, walk the miles of beaches on this island paradise.
This cottage is close to everything! You can walk to the Rod and Reel pier for their famous grouper sandwich and to fish( kids fish free!) The fishing is always good there. Or rent a bicycle built for two or one of the other beach cruisers and explore this quaint island that's like a throw back to the 1950s. Walk or ride down Pine ave. to see the boutique shops, museum, old jail, beach shop, antiques and coffee shops. Stop in at Two Scoops for ice cream and walk down the City Pier to the end and grab dinner sitting out over the water. Listen to the one man band that plays for tips and browse the small jewelery stand made by the local artisans. Walk the beach back to the cottage and explore the dunes at the tip of the island along the way. Watch ships pass as they enter Tampa Bay. Hop on the free open air trolley that continually tours the island and take in the sights while you leave your car at the cottage. Take a boat ride to Egmont Key and explore this national park on the brick lined paths winding through the island.
Next day stroll down the beach to the Sandbar for lunch and to people watch while you listen to their steel drum band. Mingle with the rest of the islanders as they gather on the beach for the daily ritual of watching the sun slowly set over the Gulf of Mexico. Get the blender going, mix up some margaritas and toast to another beautiful day on the beach!
