Enjoy a super fun family vacation at the beach in this four-bedroom, three-bath house PACKED with personality! When the new owners adopted it as their own, they took on a project most people would have written off as too difficult. But they not only made it livable…they made it FUN!
Formerly a duplex, it’s now one big house in the shape of a U, with a spiral staircase that takes you up to the jumbo primary suite. Walk-in the front door, and you’ll find the first bedroom, complete with a plush queen-size bed and large smart TV, and the bathroom just a couple of steps away. Further down the hallway is a small seating area at the base of the spiral staircase. It’s a great place to read or chat or to grab a little quiet time while remaining close.
Just past the seating area is a big space that serves as the kitchen, the dining room, and the living room, with a huge, comfy sectional, a dining table that seats six, and a well-equipped (albeit a bit quirky!) kitchen, all with an inviting view of the beach and the bay right outside the wall of windows.
Round the corner from the dining area, and you’ll enter the play zone, with an area to set up cocktails, a pool table, an additional fridge, a wet bar, ring toss, and large smart TV.
Continue down the hall and you’ll find a pint-size bunk room with two twin bunks, another hall bath with a walk-in shower, and in the back, a private bedroom with a king-size bed and smart TV mounted on the wall.
Both the primary suite and the laundry are accessible by a spiral staircase that winds its way from the little seating area in the first hallway to the upstairs. Here you’ll find a full washer and dryer to one side, with the primary bedroom suite to the other. The views from up here are terrific, especially from the private open balcony. Anyone in your group who has to work while away from home will appreciate those views when they’re sitting on the large deck overlooking the beach. With its home “office,” big king-size bed, wall-mounted smart TV, comfy seating, en suite bath, and killer views, whoever occupies the primary bedroom may never come out!
Of course, the fun doesn’t stop inside the house. A gas grill sits outside the front door, ready for your latest burger creations, or even for the fresh fish you just caught out back. And speaking of the beach, it’s right outside your door, with access from both the game zone and the dining/living area. You’ll find a patio outfitted with comfy seating and two fire bowls that mark the entrance to the path taking you directly onto the sand. Please Note: While anyone can walk the beach and swim here at the north end of the island, no one can park their gear and stay for the day on your little stretch of paradise!
Sleeps a total of eight people in 2 king beds, 1 queen, and two twin bunks. Two futons can be used for sleeping, but per Anna Maria city ordinance, occupancy cannot exceed 8 people. Have more than eight in your group? Avoca, a three-bedroom, two-bath home that sleeps 6 is next door, and also available for rent.
